4wp bumper and skid plate

Hey @dirtstar2002 what's up with the gap between bumper and skid plate? I purchased bumper first and just installed skid plate. Would have been nice if it tucked up under the bumper.

Skid plates look like different sizes and design from their image vs yours. The top left (passenger) of the skid, there is a triangle brace and yours has some rectangle like thing. Makes it look like there's a body lift gap thing when there isn't.

Yea exactly. The front lip that tucks into bumper also looks longer. Pretty disappointing. Going to try and call customer service but good luck

Did you maybe mountt he brackets backwards? Causing the gap? Can you turn the brackets 180 and reinstall?

Brackets only go on 1 way. No movement at all.

Watching because out of all the designs we’ve seen I may like theirs the best (even better than the premium ADD). I bought the rear bumper from 4WP, but it hasn’t been delivered yet. Nice, high clearance design to just outside the body width.

I’ll look into what happened there. I agree. That’s a strange departure from the original designs. If I had to take a guess, someone up high told us it had to fit multiple ford bumpers too.

Any updates on this? Seems like the easiest solution, if the skid plate can't be changed, is to change the bumper to cover the gap, or offer an intermediary plate that spans it.

This is mine. It’s to allow use of the factory recovery hooks. . Four wheel parts was a pre-production unit didn’t have all the options.

That gap is correct. 4wp never updated their site or anything to let customers know there is a gap
