I've run wide tires that poked out way before this weird new sky scraper trend came along and I've never had issues with paint on the sides of my trucks. And that's slinging roostertails of mud. I'd much rather have tire to obstacle contact than to my fender. I don't care for the 4WP deletes, but theres way more of a chance of picking up a rock from an 18 wheeler than a Bronco that has has the top of the tire uncovered. If you really want to protect other drivers, get some mud flaps cut to DOT spec.

I'd like to see a straight shot of the deletes on these stock steelies. I'm thinking of going the pizza cutter route, so those tires should stick out <1" compared to these pics. I like the look of deletes, but think 255x80s will still stick out too far for daily driving

With the lift, I bet the Kenda 35x10.5R17's would be a good look. Very small amount of tire outside the fenders.
