I've had fairly good luck with the windshield repair kits in the past. If I put this product on, but I end up getting a chip in the windshield anyways, are those common windshield repair kits still workable?

This is a great question.

The short answer is, if you were to get damage through windshield protection film you would need to remove the film before fixing it with one of the repair kits, the good news is we will send you a replacement kit if your windshield gets damaged while protected by our ULTRA kit.

We will be releasing more information publicly about this replacement program soon!

Do you need to replace the shield after a few hits that leave the hole? Seems I always get them right in line of sight.

The short answer is, if you were to get damage through windshield protection film you would need to remove the film before fixing it with one of the repair kits, the good news is we will send you a replacement kit if your windshield gets damaged while protected by our ULTRA kit.

Should I wait until the program details come out or email your team? Took a rock the other day and I believe it damaged the windshield behind the exoshield. I'm sure it would have spiraled out of control by now if the exoshield were not there though!

End of life is completely up to the user. We know these windshields take a serious beating, so expect the film to do the same over time. That being said, a well maintained windshield with ULTRA can last well beyond the 2 year warranty ULTRA offers.

ExoShield ULTRA is 8mil thick, with a nanoceramic top coat optimized to defend against deep scratches. This is about 60% thicker than our industry leading film, to make sure the flat, upright windshields in Bronco's have the protection they need against impacts like the ones your talking about.

Either way, it sounds like you're in a pretty high risk area and would benefit from any level of protection!
