Good luck with the sale! I'm curious how and what you used to tie down your kayak since I too have a soft top and a kayak that needs to get out in the sun!

I fabricated a roof rack. Inch square tubing for the cross bars. Then mounted the kayak holders and roof top tent to the cross bars. The rack is 3 inches in height. There is actually 4 inches of space between the roll bars and soft top when closed. So you can actually close the factory soft top over the roof rack cross bars. The tent and kayak are just winged nut on and are easily removable. I also installed a bimini top that fits perfectly between the rack and roll bars. Giving it some good protection when the factory top is off. You can kinda see it in that top view picture
