So this last push back, what is the point of getting a 2021 anymore since mine will be delivered when 2022 production is starting up?

Having been assigned a VIN early, seems like it screwed me. Probably the result of Ford trying to play chess with the scheduling to get the first editions produced. I mean really, how can they seriously let people who have had a VIN since April get pushed into November. That's exactly why I deferred to ordering a '22 instead of a '21. Earlier this Spring I estimated that it would be unlikely that I would get a '21 any earlier than November anyway, so I opted to wait for the '22 banks to open and hopefully get it built by Spring (now probably Summer of '22.)
Ultimately, the idea of just waiting just a few more months for a '22, and the word of a green paint option made it easy to just say, "I'll get it when I get it."
You should have the option to keep your spot and order a 2022. That’s messed up they moved you so much.So this last push back, what is the point of getting a 2021 anymore since mine will be delivered when 2022 production is starting up?
I completely agree. I'm really pissed about it because there is nothing the dealer can do. Which isn't their fault. I would FOrd would give us the options to reuse out original reservation time stamp and opt for a 2022. That is what I want to do.So this last push back, what is the point of getting a 2021 anymore since mine will be delivered when 2022 production is starting up?
They’re unofficial delays. My dealer has been keeping tabs on my build weeks. My last Ford email communication was for 8/30 and obviously that has since passed. I assume the MIC reworks are causing the push backs.Another round of delays going out?
Pushback on both hardtop and softies or just hardtops? They’re unofficial delays. My dealer has been keeping tabs on my build weeks. My last Ford email communication was for 8/30 and obviously that has since passed. I assume the MIC reworks are causing the push backs.
