Do you know how it works on a vehicle like the Bronco? Do the front axles still rotate when in 2H? How about the front diff? This all has me curious now.
Only the Bronco Raptor uses the IWE hubs like the F150s to disengage the axles from the wheels. All the other broncos have the axles always spinning.

The models without a locking front differential feature a center axle disconnect, which means the front diff is not always spinning.

The models with a locking front differential have no center axle disconnect, which means the diff is spinning.

I was hoping we'd see a manual transmission since they that is an offering in some markets. It may happen.... they do offer a manual on the Bronco after all. But it's still unlikely. The new Chevy Colorado doesn't offer a manual, so really the only reason to offer one would be to go after the Tacoma—and I don't even know if Toyota intends on offering a manual transmission on the new Tacoma.
From the beginning, No Stick, no Bronco.

Only reason I even considered a Taco was I could get a manual, and I hate Toyotas.

If Ford would have offered a stick on the Ranger, it would have taken manufacturing pressure off of Bronco.

I have and it's still horrible. Makes me with for the tasteful days of Lightning and Splash editions.

LOL

The Splash was considered gaudy back in the 1990s

Outside of the 18" wheels I like the current Linited Edition Splash Editions they did. Especially the Snow Edition in Avalanche.

Good info, but I believe it is the ones with 4A transfer case that do not have Front Axle Disconnect, which coincidentally includes those with a front locker. An outlier is the BB with 4.27, it does not have FAD either.

Didnt feel like reading thru 5 pages of comments but for those curious about pricing the Australian raptor starts at $93,xxx aud which is converts to about $66k usd. Hopefully when we get them they wont go up.

A mustang mach-e with the exact same configuration (Premium with AWD long range) is 65K British pounds and USD 61K.
The new Ranger raptor is 48K pounds. Meaning Ford could sell it for $43-45K in the US if they wanted to. This ain't happening cause they know they can sell it for more here, but we can hope for about 52K (slightly above the new Colorado ZR2 which is 48K, considering the Ranger Raptor is very similar but with a 400HP V6 instead of 310HP 4 cylinders) which would be a hell of a deal considering it fits 35" tires (seen on the AU version on Youtube), has the same engine as the 75K Braptor, more travel and better shocks than a 60K Sasquatch Badlands Lux, and more premium features (such as stop and go adaptive cruise which I am missing a lot on my Badlands Lux).

You would get much more engine and suspension and tech (and truck capability) for much less money than the Bronco.

I use my Bronco for overloading, fast off-roading but I could not care less about the open roof that causes so much noise, and I am not a hardcore rock crawler so that Ranger Raptor is appealing.
