7.3 hamsters are probably too many for a midsize. There wouldn't be any payload left for passengers.

NO V-8, certainly no 7.3 with cast iron block. Ecoboost 4 cylinder most likely power plant. Lots of time before we know for sure.

I would not look for anything other than the ecoboost engines in 4 and 6 cylinders and possibly a 5.0 V8 for the first year model?

Can't be bigger than a coyote (maybe a bit taller with "truck" intake).
I've read 500 lbs, approx 450HP/500 ft-lbs, which all sounds about right.

When I get tired of rowing this T-18, hope there be some wrecked SD's
that I can steal that combo for my 70 (or maybe my 79).
Not that worried about the weight, whats a 5.2 with a blower in the
GT500 weight, probably more.

That would only work if the 7.3 was all aluminum and I don't think Ford will pony up the cost of such a engine when the EcoBoost is taking over. Mustang guys are drooling over the ideal of the 7.3 Boss Mustang.

While I highly doubt that we'll see the 7.3 in the Bronco, I do think the introduction of this engine is good news for the Bronco. With a new 7.3L top dog gas V8 the opportunity is created to allow the 6.2L V8 in the half-ton class trucks -- and thus the 5.0L V8 is now the "little" V8 that can go into a midsize truck or SUV like the Bronco / Ranger as a passion / performance product, while those larger displacement units carry the "workhorse" image.

Yea 7.3L is a pipe dream IMO. I'd be thrilled with a V6 Ecoboost option for the standard Bronco and a 5.0L V8 Coyote for a Bronco Raptor model.

a 7.3 bronco would have to be all white, and have a bigger gas tank. would dub it the OJ package.

I would be perfectly fine with a 5.0 Bronco!!! Come on Ford, do the Bronco and the Bronco fans a solid and offer the 5.0 as the top engine option!!!
