Well good luck and I hope you get it to work. It's going to be pretty close to impossible to get it done the way your describing. The Bronco was one of the first vehicles from a legacy (not Tesla) manufacturer that had fully integrated computer modules making something like this an order of magnitude more complex if not completely impossible, at least without an extraordinarily talented software engineer.

many modules can be reprogrammed to work across different platforms, and new strategies downloaded as well. additionally more finicky modules can be swapped over from donor vehicles and tricked to work with existing ones. this really is not impossible as you think. take a look a the hoss 3.0 steering thread or the forscan threads.

I wish you success! To me the Bronco just screams high performance V8 with outrageous exhaust note. And if a person could strip away the digital nannisms and modules and let the horses run free that would be a plus.

FA is trash as a source, but even the article you linked says the vehicle code name was carnivore and the engine code name was predator...

According to Ford Authority sources, the Ford F-150 Raptor R was tagged with the codename “Carnivore.” That callsign is perfect for the mean-sounding, aggressive truck, especially considering the meat-eating dinosaur it’s named for. The F-150 Raptor R will eat up the road with the help of the Ford 5.2L V8 Predator engine, which, again, is perfectly embodied by the Carnivore codename.

Please forgive my lapse in proper fact checking my links. I just did a quick google search because I know from past experiences, which I posted after, Ford loves using code names. So I searched, I saw, I posted, without proof reading the article. My bad.

I'll just go back to installing my flush mount rear taillights and rear bumper. :)

I’m a 2023 BRaptor owner and work at a Ford dealership. I’m pretty confident all Broncos have the 10R60 trans and on my BRaptor all the modules are locked by Ford Performance. My ford performance techs can get the passwords to unlock my modules but they told me Ford can go back and check what was changed/updated from over the air and then change things back if they choose. How true that is 🤷! I just wanted to turn off the double honk and enable bambi mode but everything is locked.

I would love to drop the 5.2L predator in my BRaptor. 🤤 🤤

yeah FDRS is limited. Most ford techs can't make changes on ANYTHING and the refuse to use forscan. the modules are not "locked ", the engines programming, strategies, and tune is tho.

I read this thread with the soundtrack in my head of George Harrison‘s “Got my mind set on you”. This should be your theme song! Best of luck..

I got my mind set on you
And this time I know it's for real
The feelings that I feel
I know if I put my mind to it
I know that I really can do it
But it's gonna take money
A whole lotta spending money
It's gonna take plenty of money
To do it right, child
It's gonna take a-time
A whole lot of precious time
It's gonna take patience and time, mmm
To do it, to do it, to do it, to do it, to do it
To do it right

We tried FORSCAN as well, it was a no go as well.

I’m interested in how this all shakes out with the 5.2L.

so you needed a password to "unlock the modules" in forscan?
