8 in display gets hot, locks up

When off-road for an hour or so , let's display on Android auto all trails app map. The screen got hot to the touch and locked up. Stayed on nav screen and would go to phone via steering wheel button. But touch screen would not work until I turned of the bronco and phone

Yea I m going to try it again first just to make sure it wasn't related to Android auto app, phone also got hot

We were at Moab in 102 temperature and had on issues at all. You must have a bad screen.

I’d venture to say the phone.
my iPhone has done the same in heat like that. Heck likely less heat than that.

Even after 10+ years of Sync, it's still really buggy. I have to restart my current 2020 Explorer's Sync much less than the 2011, or 2016, but it still is far from perfect.

I haven't had a chance to check it out I'm going out this Saturday. I haven't been using Android auto navigation yet again I will post again in a few days

Not to drag this post back up, but I noticed my 8" touch screen also getting super hot on a long (~3.5 hr) 95% highway drive. It also glitches a decent amount as others describe.

Did you ever figure this issue out?
