Evidently so. Dealer's body shop called me to let me know that their/State Farm's estimate had grown from app. $12,000 to nearly 30k. Big part was the MIC top which had taken some damage when my Bronc swung around and hit the side of the Sacramento city bus that nailed me in the front quarter panel. (Driver swears he light was green.)

Evidently, SF wanted to know if he could just repair the top. I had this machine for a bit more than a month. Drove it from Nashville to California and, no, I don't think I want the top to be glued/chemically welded back together. Pics available when I get them.

But, seriously Ford. $9,600?
Here's some crash porn. The PDF damage report. The top is way at the end.

Nashville to Ft. Smith AR to Tucumcari NM > Gallup NM > Las Vegas Off-Roadeo > Bend Oregon > Sacramento City Bus.
While not surprised at these prices, they are probably greatly inflated to cut down on people trying to order them. They are in short supply and every one sold as a replacement part is a new Bronco not going out the door.
This was my thinking, but it is is the only option from factory so not sure what gives. It's plastic.

dont know what to believe on the MIC top, at least 50% of the reviews I seen say road noise at highway speeds is bad, people complain of rattles, squeeks, wind noise. I got my 4 door outerbanks with soft top. Switched order from MIC top. On local roads the softtop is fine. At highway speeds its a little noisy. Someone on youtube posted review using sound meter to see what the noise level was. The softtop and hardtop at all speeds were within 1-3db. There test showed at highway speed the softtop was quieter then the MIC top. If Ford is going to charge $5000+ for the MIC top from the parts counter, I'll wait till 2023 and see what ford charges for the new mod painted top, or hope the aftermarket comes up with an affordable option. Another option is to trade my 2021 bronco in 2023 for new model with hard top, assuming by then there is no 1-2 year wait still.

Is this MIC v1 or MIC v2?
Does Ford still owe you a replacement? If so, go with the repair.

It's a 2.0, and I may have found a dealer take off that will speed things up. Waiting to hear from the "deciders". i.e. State Farm.

5k for the back section maybe…

Ford Bronco $9,600 replacement MIC 2-door tops? 37CA9E25-A273-4E21-8A90-3C4012F9AD46
Yeeouch! 4 door? Looks like that's got some roof rails also, yes? Those are looking to be nearly 4 grand alone which is putting the top into range with what I was quoted. All I can say to people is to order all the options you want as adding after delivery is just ridiculously expensive. Wish I had ordered the roof rails, but guessing that will be Bronco #2.

you could just get cashed out by the ins and give the dimensions to a machine shop let them make you a top and get it painted for half that price or less lol.

Reportedly 16 cameras, but that's all up to State Farm. They are/will be suing the city, not me. They are going ahead with the repair, so far as I know.
