This question was asked in a 2021 thread but I do not see where it was ever answered.

"Am I reading this correctly, that an a la carte locking diff is offered on the base? (Probably I'm not.):

X2L 4.27 Final Drive Ratio w/ Rear Locking Differential (Auto Only) 747 795
X4L 4.46 Final Drive Ratio w/ Rear Locking Differential (Manual Only) 465 495"

I'm aware that electronic-locking F&R differentials are std. with the Sasquatch.

Is this stand alone (non-sas) Rear locking differential an Electronic-Locker or a LSD / Traction-Lok Clutch pack type ??

Will be ordering a Big Bend and my salesman could not supply any details, so I'm hoping 3 years later someone on here knows. Also, what "size" diff's are used in the Bronco ??

Thanks,

Doug

It will be the same rear ELD m220 as the SAS package, just a different gear ratio.

If you don’t get the ELD the rear will still be an m220, but you will have different sized axles and the gearing will be welded in place (difficult to upgrade later)

Front end will be the smaller m190 w/o locker if you don’t get SAS on the Big Bend. All models with a front locker have the larger m210 FDU

I ordered a big bend with the rear e-locker and 4.27 gears...I think it was like a $700ish dollar option. Money well spent - the open diffs that come with the standard axle broncos are difficult and expensive to upgrade after the fact.
