This is a sad question for me. I am totally of the 2 door mindset. 4 doors look crap on anything other than a 60s lincoln. The weight, the cost, the more crap to fail. It just sucks. But we are buying a bronco to replace a 96 FSB and unfortunately the 4 door is the exact same size as our bronco. So thats what my wife wants. Something that can fit all 3 nieces and nephew and atleast 1 dog. So we can take them offroading. Will they have as much fun a 1 or 2 of them would in a 2 door. Maybe but not as wild. The other sad part is that we are not wealthy and can barely afford a new one. So paying for the extra doors means we must sacrifice options like mid or sas. Our hope is that we can afford a stripped badlands.

One day i do hope to also buy a used 2 door though for a dedicated trail beater.

most older folks have disposable income which is why this forum Bronco trim of choice is Badlands and above. me, is just a basic big bend but I'm ok with that.

Yeah..... so. I'm pushing 50 and this is my very first brand new car that I will not be settling on. I drove a brand new 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee until the wheels fell off and we had to donate it to charity last year. I leased a stripped JKU to see if I liked it (I did not) and was trying to decide what to do after my lease was up. I've wanted a Bronco since I was a teenager. The timing was perfect (or so we thought) and I put my reservation in. When the time came to order, my husband, told me to get what I wanted. I tried to be sensible, I would have been happy with a lower trim. But dammit, I'm so stinking excited about this truck you will likely never see another chubby, redheaded, middle-aged lady as happy and grateful as me when my lil' mule arrives.

I went badlands because the sway bar (whatever) disconnect is useful here in Utah.

I went 4 door to be able to haul things. Wife won't let me keep my pickup truck, so it's going to have to be a do it all vehicle.

I ordered the 2 door base model, I may have ordered the 4 door base if it would come in a MT version without having to move to another model.

You can get a base 4 door with MT. There are only two things that take away MT transmission choice- 2.7 engine or Sasquatch package on any trim level

I'll be shooting ghost riding K-Pop videos in mine for all my FaceTube and Instaho followers, as an influencer I fully expect Ford to comp my Bronco when I go to pick it up. Having bikini clad girls/guys/non-binaries fumbling out of the back of a 2 door isn't my aesthetic, hence my 4 door choice.

The. 2.7 requiring the AT is the one factor that led me to eventually order an OBX.

What I initially thought I wanted was a 2 door base 2.7 MT Sasquatch with a cloth interior and the rubber floors. Obviously, that's not a thing. The OBX strikes the best balance for me given the available options.
