The Hummer EV will be revealed tomorrow, OCT. 20th. It has up to 1000 hp, over 11,000 ft lb of torque and can do 0-60 mph in 3 seconds. There's also a truck version. It will be interesting to see if its on the Bronco and Jeep's level. Is it safe to say the old Hummer H2 certainly isn't?

They won’t all have that much power. The ones that do are gonna be well over 100k.
But it’s gonna be a luxury lifestyle rig, not a competitor to the bronco or wrangler. More like the defender or g wagon.

For those claims, you’ll be paying upwards of $90k for their highest trim. I’d rather buy a fully loaded bronco and a nice ass camper to pull behind it. Oh, and an acre of land or two I might add.
For those claims, it's going to be a $49,999 opening MSRP. At least.

Who fuckin' cares?

Might as well be a Range Rover to average Americans.

The new Hummer is not being tested on the Rubicon.
Even the h2 back when it was selling, I never saw one on a trail.

These are not in the same market segment as the bronco.
Size , weight, and intended use are completely different.

Hummer ev May take sales from the Escalade or some bmw suv and even Tesla. That is their market.

I must have missed all the new Offroad charging stations all these manufacturers think are out in the middle of nowhere.
Also why do you take one of the least fuel efficient vehicles and make it an EV out of it?
Fully electric I agree with. I would worry about running out of charge on the road, let alone on the trails. With a PHEV like the Jeep 4xe, you still have a gas engine. Not to mention 375hp and 470ft-lb of torque (for as long as the batteries last) on the trails. Not worth the cost to me, but at least it makes some sense.

EV vehicles Will be the norm in the near future. That’s the direction every car company is going in with it will bring some really really cool and exciting vehicles but it’s not quite there yet for me.

Cool. Didn't see any charging stations at the top of Slade last time I was there...

Any idea how an all-electric truck is going to hold up to high moisture?

I'm glad they are making it and I hope it peels off a few Bronco buyers. To each his own.

Oh shit they got LeBron! Now you know it's for real. Actually, I wish they had gotten Shaq just because it would have been more funny to joke on.

Good luck taking road trips to good trails with an EV and God help you, and everyone behind you, if you run out of juice on the trail in that behemoth...your expensive rig may just turn into a new obstacle, lol
LOL! I suppose if you have a solar panel on the roof and 5 days to spare while waiting for the batteries to charge...then no big deal.

it would be pretty funny if GM's preliminary B&P was available to play with at launch

It comes with a solar trickle charger that unfolds to 2 1/2 acres and only takes seven days to charge up…. If you have sunny days

Saw someplace where they have a Tesla travel trailer packed with batteries you can tow with a model Y. 1400 mile range and a place to sleep.
