Ford Bronco A/T All-Terrain Tires Tested On the Road Review - by Tire Rack combined-

Twelve selections from the On-Road, Off-Road, and Rugged All-Terrain categories comprise this All-Terrain tire test to see how they stack up when it comes to daily driving. A/T tires excel off the beaten path, but what about the rest of the time? The popular aesthetics of this category lead to many using them on their daily drivers. So, what are you sacrificing by choosing these products for your concrete journeys? Noise, comfort, handling, and safety are all considered as we test all-terrain off-road tires on the road!

Went to look at the Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail AT they show coming out on top, and it looks like it's only really available in up to 265/70 in a 17" rim...

Looks like it's more meant for the crossover market or something? I guess it would replace some of the smaller OEM tires directly, but nothing over 32" is available.

Wonder how that compares to the Discoverer AT3 -- which is listed as "all season" but available in a 37x12.5R17 in a decent weight and LR-D

The size I want for my 2-door is 285/70r17. Unfortunately BFG chose to make that size only available with white letters. Absolute no-go for me. I want black tires.
If you’re looking for KO3s, I specified black letters when ordering through Discount Tire in 285/70/17

All K03s are white lettering one side and black on the other. Your choice with each tire.

Is it not the Nitto "Recon Grappler" (going from memory )the tire many around here do not like because of its short tread life? In this test Nitto's entry seems to have significantly softer rubber then all the others (e.g. it's braking results are significantly shorter then the rest). Perhaps that is their angle, good on road performance but shorter tread life...

I wish Tire Rack had said what TP they were running these tires at, I assume whatever the door panel says (thus ignoring tire manufacturer recomendation0)but they should say more about their methodology.

BFG KO3 are near the back of the pack in all real performance categories, bet you if they did it blind folded they would have been dead last.

Nitto is more of a summer compound that gets crappy in the real cold(15F ish and lower).

So glad to see some KO3’s mounted up on a Bronco. I hope you are enjoying them. I have the stock KO2 on my badlands and like them. I will likely KO3 next round

This came up on one of my recent feeds. I thought the most interesting thing out of it is how poorly relatively speaking a few of the more on-road oriented tires (like the Yokohama) did while seeing the Falken WildPeak AT4W all the way up in 5th place overall is impressive given how burly a tire that is overall.

I'm not surprised the Duratrac was rated as low as it was given it was actually historically marketed as more of an on/off-road traction tire before the whole RT craze got going.

Guys, I figured it out! At first I was like "Road and track? How about off road?" and then it clicked. Look at the chart backwards and it makes more sense for a Bronco!

Why not include the Mickey T Baja Boss? Those are some good tires.
I agree 100%. I love my Baja Boss A/Ts. Best all around tires I’ve ever had.
