I agree. Something looks off with the flares. I don’t really care for the style and the white intensifies it. They also went too far with all the white accents. Don’t care for the grill but it dose need to be paired with a white bumper.not a fan of the flares, handles, trail sights and that particular grill- but a more traditional grille with less slot openings might work with the white top - if not, the white top will still look great alone.
Every other truck, van, and alot of suvs have chrome grille options. Why shouldnt a nostalgia inspired reintroduction of a classic from the 60s and 70s have a chrome option. Or atleast polished aluminum? No the basic one is damn near raw gray plastic and the optional one is gloss black?Because it’s not 1970 anymore
I grew up on with JC Whitney as a source of nutrition for my 8 year old automotive dreams. Seeing their website in recent years is just tragic.Because JC whitney was purchased by carparts.
Seriously, I hope dealers who do the swaps just don't trash the semi-passable bad tops. Take them to the body shop and let the folks get to work on improving the edges and painting the top. If it sucks, then trash it. But at the very least, it could be used as test tops to perfect a process for paying customers to have their own done.Cool. Theyre all cool to some people! More importantly, the MIC tops CAN be painted! Get ahold of the bad ones, go at it!
Would be fun, Eh? They'll probably be crushed!Seriously, I hope dealers who do the swaps just don't trash the semi-passable bad tops. If they match flares to the body it will look good....Same Wildtrak that had the color matched top!
They went back and switched it up for a retro vibe! More pictures to come.
Edit: Don’t believe they are finished. They are still tweaking a few things on the retro design.
