Nice trip! I ran Lippencott with a buddy who had a not lifted 2WD long wheelbase Econoline and he made it. A Bronco definitely can. That being said I did not enjoy it in my Taco, too many ways for expensive body damage or rolling down a cliff.

Still not bad though, I used to live in a van down by the river, and the beach, and the desert, and the tracks lol. But those safari/astros do have a stealth appeal and were a lil beefier than the Aerostar.

How bad was driving on washboard in your Bronco? Do you had to find a specific speed or airdown?

Washboard and gravel roads not really an issue, at least anymore than any other vehicle. I'd air down to 18 occasionally. Using Vair compressor until ARB mount is ready. A little rattle from the washboard, but if you hit it at the right speed you can coast over most of it. On gravel, heard the rocks flying, but I've yet to find any paint chips.

How did the factory rock rails perform? I would be interested in taking my rig on a really similar route this spring but wouldn't dare without some heavy duty rock sliders.
