Does this sound correct? I figure most people ordered with hard tops and I know there’s a shortage of hard tops but I didn’t figure I would get one this year ordering so late. Is there anything specifically that I should order or should not order that would get mine built faster?

Your dealers an idiot, they have as much information on when your Bronco will be built as Ford does and here’s a hint…there’s no information.

They just want you to order, regardless if you take delivery next year or back out before. Cancellations are really the only way dealers can get broncos on their lot right now.

I didn’t think so but figured I’d ask.
Yeah. He'll likely try the ol' bait and switch'a'roo on you. Pretty much, if you don't have an early reservation... like at BEST sometime in that first week, most likely the first day, you won't even have the possibility of a 2021 model. On top of that, I think even the order window has closed for 2021, and they haven't opened the 2022 window yet.

But, what do I know? I'm just a bored guy pretending to do actual work...

Who knows. For all we know your dealer may be sitting on a canceled order And might be offering that to you since it can be changed to your specs.

We don’t have a clue…not a Scooby-Doo.

Heck, it’s only $100. I guess I’ll put an order in and see what happens.

Woman I use to work with's husband works directly with Tier 1 suppliers, and says he knows important people at MAP. He says orders are 100% full for MY2021 & MY 2022.

For the record, I don't think reservations mean anything to Ford when it comes to build & delivery. What I reserved is different than what I ordered, simply because I wanted to get a spot in line before really knowing the options / trim lines. Once the order is submitted, Ford will then coordinate the build based on options / parts / takt time at MAP. I was nowhere close to the first reservation (I attempted to reserve the Saturday after the release, got bad info from the dealership I went to, actually put a reservation in weeks later with a different dealer, and even was behind a week or so when the order banks opened, yet have a June 28 build week).

Never know, he might have allocations and not enough orders.

But smells funny.
