I would really like adaptive cruise control but can't justify the cost of the Lux package. It's my understanding that my BL build with high package already has most of the necessary sensors and any that might be missing could probably be purchased at the parts counter. So I'm wondering if it might be possible to simply enable it using FORScan or some other software. A bit of searching seems to indicate that people have successfully enabled ACC on F150's and there is even support for calibrating the front sensor.

In the F150 if your vehicle does not have adaptive cruise control then you will not have the sensor. So how can you hack into a sensor that you don't have?

These types of questions are premature as the bronco is not out yet. So if you want an honest answer then it will have to wait until the bronco comes out and someone tries it and I bet very few will try it.

If you want ACC and can't afford the LUX package, a better course of action is to get a part-time job as you have a solid 10 months before delivery.

Yeah I agree. You can only enable features the vehicle 'has', options not put on the vehicle can be enabled by software but they aren't going to work. This is a problem newbies have with ForScan where it says it adds things like 'heated steering wheel' or 'heated seats' to a Lariat for instance that didn't have them. Yeah the visual touch display will show those features, you can turn them on, but they don't exist.

If all of the wires are there for the missing sensors then yes it would be possible, you would also need to change your steering wheel buttons. Not sure if you need the 360 camera set up or not, but all of those items and feature would need to be looked into. It might be awhile before you can find everything you need though.

forscan ?
people really don't thin when naming things sometimes.
I thought the same thing the first time I saw the name. In fact I have a buddy who’s been using it for several years that I started asking questions by texting. The first few times I typed ForScan my autocorrect changed it to “foreskin.” He asked why I was asking personal questions before admitting he calls it Forskin himself. 😂😂😂

Hello. I second that because I do have the camera and that front radar sensor for the basic 360 pkg. it sure looks like I just need to enable it in ford scan. And all I really want is just the basic speed up and slow down cruise control.

Doubtful but interested. There has to be a missing hardware component.
