What are you using to access Roof Rack mounted gear. For example, a case mounted on top, but maybe its fixed mounted. Are you using your door jam, Rock rails or other to get up to reach gear? Pictures helpful if possible. Thanks.

Step up on door jamb, then over to rear tire. I carry a small step ladder too but I've found that it's just quicker and easier to climb up onto the tire rather than haul out the step ladder. On my 2-door with the Turn Off-Road full-length rack I can pretty much reach anything from either side this way. When I'm loaded for camping I have two large OVS Dry Boxes (this one) up there, one on either side. BTW I'm 55 years old and 275 lbs with arthritis up and down my spine. So if I can do it that way, anyone can.

Thanks I'm in your age group and about 245lbs. I thinking about one of those door pedals but not sure if that would hold me or not.
