My second thought would be find someone to build an RTT on stilts. Be like a truck camper with legs. So can park, drop the legs and drive out from under it. Be an RTT treehouse of sorts. So want to keep camp stationary can! Iv also saw tow hitch RTTs not sure how I feel about them tho.

Had always wanted an earth roamer, not sure I will ever be able to afford more than a pop-up camper in the bed of a truck. They are just a little too pricy.

@618TRVLWILD what powertrain are you going with on your Badlands?
Right now my plan is the 2.3 AT only bc I do slot of interstate driving when I go on vacation. Then later on doing a tune or or a complete engine swap depending on which route I chose to take full time travel!

already packed full of stuff.... wiring, plumbing... granted, production units may be a little less messy because there won't be testing equipment, but still...

I'm hoping to take a year off or so and travel. I know the Bronco isn't meant for hauling a camper, but do you think I could get away with a lightweight one? I plan on going to point A->B, dropping the camper off, then exploring the areas.

Well I figure by 2025! Somebody will have swapping down! I hoping to see if a 3.0 cumming eco diesel...maybe. That's what I had planned on stuffing into my H3!

yeah, i'd love to see a small diesel engine swapped in there by the aftermarket... it would sound soooo good.

Oh yeah!! It be fine. Lots of lightweight campers these days. I looked into many. My hummer had an inline 5 I pulled a travel lite with it. Just gotta do that research! Check out the Sunray Mini
