Just select Baja and then 2wd. Baja is exact same thing as sport mode, except with 4H preset.

That's been covered before.

Apparently, no, it's not. I don't have any firsthand experience yet, myself, but what I understand from what others have reported, yes, you can set 2H in Baja, but the results are not the same as Sport, and the responses not really suitable for on-road use.

That statement is so wrong, on so many levels.

That would be nice, if true. To have all eight G.O.A.T. modes without having to worry whether it will impact the warranty.

But perhaps this is just another “My Dealer Said…”.
It ought to be true, at least. It boggles my mind that I have a FE and don't have all GOAT modes.

I have the Base 2.3L manual and it had sport mode already enabled. (No Forscan). Hardly notice a difference, and honestly my MPG went up lol

It's not. Baja mode locks my rear differential. Not a good idea on a highway.

Doesn't appear to automatically lock the diff in BAJA, only does that in Mud and Rock crawl modes.

Question… when Ford sends these over the air updates, will it overwrite anything I change with Forscan? Ie adding Sport mode to my 7MT Badlands?

Someone on FB commented that they were told by a Ford employee at their dealership that there will be an update coming soon that will include sport mode for the badlands.
That will be worth the wait. Prefer not messing with Forscan.

Has anyone tried adding Sport mode to their 2.3t/7 speed manual Badlands?

Not sure what it would really do for a manual transmission, but I wanted to try it.

Forscan wouldn't let me change it, saying checksum error. It reverted my 'B' back to '9'. I figured it's because of the 7 speed?

I'm pretty sure I remember some have done it, I hope some respond as I plan to do this when mine arrives at the end of March (hopefully).

I had no problem removing the double honk and fog light/hi beans setting, but twice trying the sport mode, it gave me a checksum error. I even said "continue" and it still reverted back

I question if it'll do anything different than Baja mode with a manual trans but still wanted to try it

The more I think about it, the more I think I will just leave well enough alone.
