Holy Crap what a difference with these @CVF-Jason additions. Feels like sport mode + when in Normal! Pulls hard and sounds more aggressive . Turbo sound is louder even though I have no BOV yet. Definitely a seat of the pants difference!

Also running a K&N cold air intake and Ford Performance Tuner (but with regular unleaded).

Gonna have to try it with 93 octane and Sport mode soon!

Good install video. Have you watched IAT temps before the install vs after to see what kind of cooling your getting? My understanding is that the cooler only gets you a small amount of power back vs giving more based on how much it can cool down your IAT.

I know from my sport car days, an intercooler did nothing for me and I had a small tune as well.

I’ve started to record my IAT temps in multiple different settings, time of day, idle, crawling, and desert racing. Once I have enough data, I’ll likely switch to an intercooler and then record more temps afterward followed by a dyno run.(I already have Pre intercooler dyno numbers).

I’m also running the ford performance tune as well.

Placebo effect is real so I want to get some hard data.

I’ve started to record now during summer but likely won’t have the intercooler on till winter so I’ll have to wait for next summer again for the next readings to get more factual data based on ambient temps

I’ve yet to hear negative feedback from anyone running this setup. CVF has dyno numbers on their website. Be mindful, I’m only running the Ford Performance Pro Cal with unleaded gas and I’m feeling a significant difference. Imagine what a true tune would bring!

I have been considering possibly doing this at the same time I put on my new bumper & winch. At least the main intercooler so I don’t have to later remove & reinstall the bumper & winch. But I’m guessing it would help with the pipes too.

Winch is here. Hoping BAMF ships my bumper soon. So I need to crap or get off the pot.

id definitely recommend the intercooler with the bumper project. Pipes if your budget allows. I’d definitely recommend doing a cold air intake and/radiator swap at the same time if those projects are on your radar.
