@Tricky Dick holding out on me... how many times did I try to talk you into a set? ... and you had a build thread on here? Damn, bro. šŸ˜’

But seriously, cool... this is a job my almost-mediocre welding skills and I need to tackle soon...

Oh, look what you went and done.
The grab handle is cool too but I have too many doors.

Im torn on the idea here. $325 for the materials plus my labor and touch up paint. And itā€™s permanent. Or $800 for the IAG full length steps that I could remove and sell later. Itā€™s closer than I thought it would be.

Yeah it made more sense at $200. The way I've been using mine anything I take off will be too rashed up to sell.

Great idea! I'm also a bit worried about the stock mounts not being strong enough for the added leverage of the tube.

This may be a route I go, building a winch bumper first then on to sliders and rear bumper.

Haven't done mine in yet, I went with 3/16 square tubing.

Very nice!

I had the same thought about lopping off some length from the stock sliders to accommodate more mud flap options.

I went with a super simple design on my Jeep. More of a toe hold than a step. You need something if you have a two door Jeep or Bronco for passengers to get to the back seat.

Nice work TD, they turned out really well and at a price that is considerably less than what is available via the retail side.

@Tricky Dick @Sven i havenā€™t had a chance to use mine but for the heck of it, I went out and jumped up and down on them, specifically the outside of the step. I noticed some flex at the body. Curious if either of you are seeing this. Itā€™s not much, but I noticed it.

Yeah there's some. I've been thinking about beefing up the mounts a bit more.
