Also, I know there's really only the bronco roof rack at the moment, but just curious if you top will be compatible with that.

To ALL- I am a customer of ADV on another product, I've gotten a lot of confidence from seeing that they are a well established company with a strong history in offroad Fiberglass parts. I can also tell you that their head of sales is ridiculously responsive in a good way. My spidey sense tells me that they've got a bunch of internal discussions on what options to offer, how to configure the initial tops and that there will be more options after they meet initial demand and can apply more time to producing options. Hopefully some of those will be backwards compatible for early adopters. Thus, this thread is market research. As for the weekly drops, knowing we've got something to look forward to on Monday is better than anything we've gotten from F and much better than waiting for that random IG drop..

That’s reassuring to hear that they offer quality off road parts. If this top is a better option than the MIC top from Ford then I just might change my order once again from the MIC to the soft top and wait for this one of course pricing, modularity, and options is some major factors for me.

13 pages of posts (so far) and I can't believe there is only a single post asking what the weight of this top is compared to the MIC.

Generally speaking, fiberglass tops tend to be VERY heavy. A 4-door Badlands/SAS already has Gross Vehicle Weight issues, so much so that Ford B&P won't even allow roof rails or a rack, the vehicle is already too heavy. So if a high-weight fiberglass top replaces the MIC or soft top . . . . then gear on top of that . . . it could create a dangerous "top heavy" situation that would not only cause the vehicle to go over DOT GVW recommendations, but cause it to be prone to rollovers on uneven terrain (which of course is the type of terrain that defines off-roading).

In short, if this top is much heavier than the OE tops, it may be a no-go for anyone with a Badlands/SAS build. Would be interested to hear ADV's response to this.

Great, I appreciate the hint at the possible wrongness of my concerns, I hope I am. It looks like you have a good product on the way, and innovation from the Aftermarket suppliers like ADV will continue to support the Bronco community in huge ways. All good. Just saying fiberglass tops tend to be quite heavy which will be problematic for those of us with Badlands/SAS builds. If ADV has been able to address this I may indeed end up being a customer. I'll wait for the more complete response, with specs. Thank you -

We have been working very hard behind the scenes to produce a hardtop that will help solve the issues from the OEM Bronco hardtop. To start off, we want to start a discussion from our teaser threads. We will be answering questions specific to the pictures in this post. If the question is not specific to this post then it will be answered in the upcoming posts throughout the next couple weeks.

Hi I have a suggestion. Before my bronco I had an FJ and I live in central NY where we get feet of snow at a time. My big issue with my FJ was that the rear wiper was based at the bottom of the rear window, which allowed snow to pile up and freeze between the door and the spare tire. This made it impossible to use the rear wiper unless I chiseled out the snow and ice which caused damage. I always felt that it was a design flaw. I am anxious to get a hard top and hope you take this into account because the majority of people that need a hard top most likely live in snowy areas.

I hope the rear defrost and wiper is optional. Don’t need to spend money on those items if not usable.

I like the rear defrost, but I hate rear wipers. I think they're a waste.

Ford's Modular Hardtop, the often delayed one until MY23, designed by Ford and being produced by a Ford supplier, IS Fiberglass.

As we have repeatedly seen from Ford, getting the real story on GVW, roof racks, rails, PFF, etc. always has some of the "rest of the story" Ford is not telling us. If Ford is building a Fiberglass Modular Hardtop, I suspect we will be just fine with a @ADV Fiberglass hardtop.

“Bronco Dealer Playbook” describes MIC and MOD (Modular) top differences. Shows larger “Gunner’s Hatch” and confirms removable rear windows.
