Ford's Modular Hardtop, the often delayed one until MY23, designed by Ford and being produced by a Ford supplier, IS Fiberglass.

As we have repeatedly seen from Ford, getting the real story on GVW, roof racks, rails, PFF, etc. always has some of the "rest of the story" Ford is not telling us. If Ford is building a Fiberglass Modular Hardtop, I suspect we will be just fine with a @ADV Fiberglass hardtop.

“Bronco Dealer Playbook” describes MIC and MOD (Modular) top differences. Shows larger “Gunner’s Hatch” and confirms removable rear windows.

Ford is releasing that top in conjunction with a new model year, 2023 as you point out, which gives them the chance to make alterations with bash plates, bumpers and etc. to compensate for the extra weight of the top. Too late for 2021/22 Badlands/SAS builds. This is precisely why it will be released with a new model year and not in the middle of a model year.

Lots of 2DR stuff once they do the 4DR stuff. 😁
Just more options and sure others will offer tops as well. I just want something for the rain with the doors off. Would like a Bikini top or hard top that has no sides covers all the way back to keep rain out.

Yup that’s why I gave up on Ford’s Mod top. It’s gone from:

Launch ‘21
Late availability ‘21
Launch ‘22
Launch ‘23

I don’t trust that the “Launch ‘23” date will hold. And even if it does consider this, it will likely be the number 1 factory option ordered. So it will be constrained. It’s highly likely you won’t be able to order an accessory Mod top from Ford until ‘24. And who knows how high the price will be.

Plus don't forget to add in the time for the Modular top version 2.0 redesign, 3.0, etc.

It's nice that the 4-door guys are able to get so much cool stuff, but it kind of sucks for the guys with real broncos to always come out in 2nd place.
Come on! You have a hard top by default! :D

Yeah, what good would a rear wiper do? o_O

Ford Bronco ADV Fiberglass - Bronco Hardtop Teaser - Part 1 fry-futurama
Probably not much on a soft top.

I’ve driven, but never owned a vehicle with a rear window wiper, but didn’t have a use for it. I can see how it could help in this situation on a hardtop.

i grew up in a rural area with gravel roads. Dust was very common and cars had the same issue. There aren’t rear wipers on cars and they seemed to get along just fine.
Enjoy your rear wiper when you get one.
