We have a really cool release of information today around 4PM.

Got the email info drop and this all looks great...... except.

Where is the love for us Lightning Blue FE owners. We were the ones who were originally promised as default, matching painted hard tops that got yanked. I don't see LB in your list of pictures...

Any chance even with the lower numbers it is possible. Hopefully it is only an oversight.

Now it is time to get into some more details of our upcoming hardtop. Our hardtop specifics:

1. Roof rack compatible (See pictures for examples of both tops)
2. Wiper motor will be plug and play
3. Defroster will be plug and play
4. Washer fluid will be plug and play
5. Hinges are included
6. Rear struts are included
7. All glass is included
8. Sound deadening will be an option
9. Our hardtop will work with the OEM Hardtop Prep Kit.

Here are answers to some questions from last week:

1. What is the overall weight and weight capacity of the top?
   1. It is very similar to the OEM top weight.
2. What about 2 Door Tops?
   1. We are focusing 100% on 4 Door Broncos at this time. At this time, we do not plan on developing a 2 door top. HOWEVER, that can change if we get enough interest.
3. Will the White UV Textured match the OEM color?
   1. It will be a close match to Oxford White.
4. Will the Black UV textured match the OEM color?
   1. It will be a close match to Shadow Black.
5. Will we offer a “Hardtop Prep Kit” for those that did not get it from Ford?
   1. We are currently investigating developing our own hardtop prep kit.

Someone is going to make a hard top that opens like the Bronco soft top, a half way fold back hinge. Guessing it will be more of an interior cut away (more narrow so outer attachment lips of top stay in place) so certain roof rail assemblies etc can stay in place. Such a convertible hardtop would out sell everyone and maybe since you are still designing, you could consider this?

Was thinking an actual hard top and more open so people in back seat get convertible open air too. Also, with hardtop flip open design you get the added security, insulation from sound and weather, etc.

Why leave out the 2 door people? That sucks.

Probably because all 2-Doors are already getting a hard top and this guy is going to produce where the real demand will be. Sounds to me like a prudent business decision on their part.

Hard to understand why the 2 door owners would spend several thousand $$$ to buy a top that will be less functional than the one they already have.

pretty much what I expected. Too much for my taste, I'll stick with my soft top. Add shipping an painting if you want anything but black or white.

The first prototype will be posted in the next couple weeks. This has been a huge undertaking and we are very excited to show the world the finished product that we are extremely proud of!

the original timing of shipments was August for the one piece.
where do we stand with an updated estimate of the start of shipments for the one piece
curious because I can rest my fingers from hitting search forum for comments half a dozen times a day to see if there are any new posts by ADV
