I have the heat extractor hood and can attest to it being top quality. As far as weight, the stock aluminum hood clocked in around 25lbs with sound deadening. I haven't weighed the ADV hood but I would expect the fiberglass to be a few pounds lighter.

Not bad. But getting the flares done as well would get mighty expensive

Im contemplating doing just the hood. Both hoods like great, not sure which I prefer just yet. However, these dont seem to be plug and play (remotely). Seems like allot of after work is taking place. Just for the hood. Hmmm.

I got my hood done. Body shop said it wasn't bad. Normal stuff. Cost me about $750. Had the hood shipped to them and they got it ready for me. I haven't done the fenders but hood was a breeze.
