Go straight to 37" tires. (y)

35"s are the new stock size tires.
37"s are the new upsize.

An absolute rule of the 4x4 community is that if you even slightly like and want the look of the bigger tires, you will end up buying them.

Buy once, cry once.
Or go broke buying twice or thrice.

I guarantee that every experienced 4x4er here can give you lots of stories about them, or others, who ended up rebuying tires because that person ended up unhappy after the new wore off.

------

No, the Bronco's M190 won't last long with 37"s for more than light trails. But who cares if you are in it for the style?

One of the Bronco's big advantages over the Wrangler is that the IFS front end takes the driving stress, instead of the axle itself.
Non-Rubicon Jeepers can't DD 37"s without risking bending the axle on potholes.

-------

If you even slightly like this, go directly to the tire shop for 37"s .
Do not buy dinky donuts.

You can thank me later, by buying me a beer.

So accurate it hurts! Put 33s on my Jeep from the stock 29s on day 1, drove and wheeled like that for about a year, was dragging skids everywhere so lifted it 2.5 inch but kept the 33s. Always wanted to go 35s but I'm a cheapskate and also don't drive many miles per year so the same 33s are still going strong 9 years later. Always said once they wear out I'll go 35s but now it's looking like I'll have a bronco before that happens.

I like my Jeep and it looks fine but whenever I really look at it I just think how much better it'd be with 35s. I'll still catch myself pricing them out or watching reviews on new tires, but never took the plunge. That upgrade urge has definitely dropped since the bronco reveal.

It was a different scene back then, at least around here it was a sea of XJs and TJs on 31s so even my JK on puny 33s was like a monster truck. But once more and more JKs showed up everyone starting running 35s, then 37s and now 40s and I'm rutted out from riding the same trails. I get swallowed up.

I talked myself into 33"s on my JK too.

Ended up going 35" with a 2" lift and flat fenders for clearance.

you think 37s will fit on Wildtrak without additional lift? i don’t like the stock ford rims so might get aftermarket and would go 37s if they would fit without mods. and then i could sell the stock WT rims and tires for a few grand to recoup some of the cost

Nope.

El Cheapo Roach way:
Add a 2" leveling kit to clear the fronts and add extra tall bump stops to the rear to stop the rubbing.

Everything bigger than a minivan is overkill these days.

What kind of overkill makes you happy?
For everday driving 35s are plenty especially if your just going for looks.

Those 37s will get old real quick with mpg, tire cost, getting in and out of daily, along with tire noise.

Anyone one of the following kills MPG:
4X4
Big Tires
Convertible

Putting all three together is a recipe for low MPG.

37" vs 35" MPG won't be noticable compared to cruising topless.

I suppose but is it really worth it for the look?

To each his own

Not enough data for me yet. You all get 37s first and let me know how it works out for you and what you had to do to make it work. I don't wanna spend my money being the guinea pig.

I don’t know...lots of Jeep guys running around on 37s and love them, or even want to go bigger. Depends on who you are and what you like. They look awesome. Gets you over a lot of stuff. For many, that’s a good trade off and they never get old.

I like this advice
I know with what my plans are with my bronco is mainly fire roads and camping, so I know the 33s on the BL are more than enough, but I keep thinking I like the looks of the 35s so much more...
I should just do it right from the start and not worry about it..

Plus you can step down to 33"s or 34"s and break even $$$ if you find that the 35"s really are too much.
