Update:
several folks have contacted me to show pics of the new engine. Adding them below. (She is still running great too!)

It took 40 days but my Bronco is back home!

On 12/23, the engine died and it needed to be replaced (read original thread).

Today, 01/31, I got her back! I've only driven about 30 miles today, all seems good so far. I will be taking her to my local OHV Park tomorrow to giver her a proper shakedown!

Glad to hear! From the report looks like it actually lost 2 cylinders.

That really sucks but I am glad you got your Bronco back.

I myself am waiting on a 2.7L and while I obviously have minor concerns - I read a post that was linked from this very forum where a Ford person said basically something like, "Yes, we noticed an issue with a Vendor who was supplying us parts for the 2.7L that was doing something wrong. We've corrected it. So going forward should not be a problem..."

And yeah it sucks to have a problem but once you realize you have a problem the key is fixing it and preventing it from the future.

All 6. The compression reading should have been over 150psi in each cylinder.
