I'm back - curious if any of the adjusters want to give their final verdict / guess before I update it with the actual results!
I'm no adjuster, but I'd be figuring 8K in body and paint and 10K in mechanical issues.

What a nightmare. Honestly I'd want it totalled after that. Hopefully the insurance gives you Market value for it considering the high prices in the Market. I doubt it though. Hopefully everything works out for the best.

Prediction is: not totaled, $28k in repairs, with rental coverage.

Dang you guys are good, 27.5k and a large amount of diminished value, but still not totaled!
Just out of curiosity, would you mind sending me a copy of the repair estimate? We have a body shop and I'd like to see what their repair plan is. If you prefer not, that's OK too.

Keep in mind that your estimate is based on what they can see. Once they dig in they will likely find more and it could very well end up as a total. My wife's Subaru was rearended. The initial estimate had the damaged at $8k. Once the dug in that jumped to $17k and they totaled it.
