Aftermarket Alarm

I want an alarm that notifies me if anyone gets too close to my car and have it start recording like the sentry system in a Tesla. Heck, I want that to go off if someone looks at my car too long.

until they start rolling these out to everyone, I feel uneasy to not have something installed. I think it will be a target for pulling off parts. Especially if parts will not be available for a while.

Any suggestions?

How about one of those alarms where the car talks to you and tells people to back off if they get too close.

All I can say is be prepared for sticker shock. I remember when I was younger, you could get an alarm installed for a couple hundred bucks. Last time I checked they wanted 600 plus dollars to install a basic alarm.

And of course that's if you're comfortable with some minimum wage dude hacking up your wiring.
