With the talk of engine swaps (Barra, Coyote/Godzilla, OEM+ with 2.7, etc), and the limits of the stock 6spd, will companies offer swap in ready Manuals for those who want more out of these beasts despite the limits of the standard 7spd?

If someone offered a 5spd for a Barra swap for example, it'd be worthwhile here, although I'm sure it'd be 6.

Just figured I'd ask

Probably not, but with enough money you can make anything happen. MRT built a Tremec manual F-150 with the Ecoboost for SEMA in 2015.

Slightly off topic, but i'm not sure why anyone would want to immediately do an engine swap. You lose all the GOAT modes, turn assist, trail control, cruise control, etc... The engine software is tied in all of these things.

I hope those people have deeeeeep pockets. It's not really as simple as stuffing a manual trans back there. You'll need to adapt the trans to the engine then figure out how to adapt the trans to the transfer case. If you can figure all that out then you'll have to hope you can use the factory trans and transfer case mounts or those will be custom too. After that fiasco you'll go to install your factory driveshafts and find they'll either be too long or too short and have to get them redone.

I hope someone does it. It'll be cool to see.

Oh, you're telling me.

I'm selling my Audi as I'd love to do a 2.7tt swap myself, but for the $$$, rather cut my losses and get a new toy, whether I'm patient or not.

Still, 2.3 for me is more than enough, just ya know there are peeps here with the $$$, time and patience most of us lack for it

More power to em!

The same people putting a Godzilla and some Dana 60s under their Bronco will probably put an Atlas and some heavy duty manual in it.

For the average Joe, not so much. Unless you want to jerry-rig something you picked up from an old wreck.

Swapping any of the hard parts isnt that big of a deal. Its getting the dash to not go all HAL 9000 on you.
