38, married with two little ones under 6. Planning on a 4dr but we both prefer the styling of the 2dr.

Likely will come down to MY22 options since I'm holding out for ManSquatch. This will mainly be a recreational vehicle and will replace using my Harley as a second vehicle. However, I also want to get more into offroad camping and overlanding in general so I'm in between 4dr or 2dr with trailer when need be.

The 2dr is near perfect imo, but I can easily see buying the 4dr for practicality.

Age 51 - 4 door. We have a family of 4 so everyone will fit much easier. Also, I want the longer wheelbase for ride comfort -vs- shorter wheelbase on 2 door.

So I’m kind of curious, I’ve been reading this forum for, I don’t know, two or three months, and I’m really surprised there isn’t more 2-Door purchasers.
so I’m just wondering what AGE is of most people buying a
2 door and a 4 -door,
because I think it’s a generational thing now.

When I was a kid you were your father or grandfather if you were driving a four-door. same with my dad! Of course I grew up in a HotRod Family (30’-50’s Cars)
So I was always told that 2 doors is what you want.

Maybe I was brainwashed, or a product of my time, but I always thought the 2 Doors look way better than 4 doors
(as far as proportions and everything)
and all those extra posts and windows!
Especially the vehicle like a Bronco because of the short wheelbase. You have to jack up a four-door way higher in order to have the same clearance.

biggest thing for me is I have the mindset of

2-door Means Freedom
4-Door means Baggage

Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad that young folks nowadays wanna include their family on a lot of stuff, but I still think Guys need to have their OWN freedom sometimes, and “Girls”Too I guess!!!

So mostly this is just out of curiosity

I’m 52 and I love2doors
What did tou order and how old are you?
Thanks Rick
I am 53 and ordered a 2 door and yes this = freedom!!!

No kids, but loving the idea of the pull-out bench and using it as an extension for in-cab camping under the stars. Bigger fuel tank, longer wheelbase has better ride characteristics. Biggest reason, however, is that I usually take folks with me wherever I end up going, and the 2dr is just harder to live with.

However with all that said, the 2dr is the best looking Bronco and is how it should be driven. I'm so conflicted. :D

Rick,
I’m 45.
I love sports cars and wanted to throw up when Porsche (or rather Volkswagen) whored the Porsche name by making SUVs and the loathsome Panamerica.
My first “car” was a 1977 Bronco.
Broncos are 2 door.
I started a page on Facebook called
True Broncos are 2 door.

Two door…I’m 61. Me and the wife. If I can take the rear seats out, then even better. If I was in my 30’s, with the same two kids, I still would get the two door. Kids are flexible enough to live in the back. If you need a four door, buy a Buick, and fulfill your destiny.

Anything’s removable with a big enough saw. I think they can be pulled out with a special wrench. Obviously Ford doesn’t recommend it (like pulling the top on post 92 Broncos) but the ability is there.
I specifically asked a Bronco representative about this at a dealership event. They said that yes, the cage is removable with a wrench and some steadfast determination.

It’s not welded to the frame.

But, you’ll need to find a solution for the and seatbelt. As in custom seats with integrated belt.

45, 2 door, 7MT. My kids can’t drive a stick.
Do you intend to teach them how to drive a stick with your Bronco? Or keep them from asking to borrow, it because it's a stick?

67- 2 door for me. I’ll use my f150 crew cab when I’m going to have passengers. I like the looks of the 2 door and simply don’t end the extra space.
