This also played a role in my decision to get a two door.

I understand that people have kids ,and that's why the 4drs are so popular in the bronco and wrangler.
For me this was just too close of a resemblance.

folks typically assume that the primary reason for a four-door is because of kids, and therefore four-door purchasers are stuck purchasing a four-door. Ummm…. My kids are grown, and I can’t figure out where 2-door owners put their gear. A more interesting poll might ask if 2-door owners are primarily single-day users when they go playing. That makes sense. Otherwise, where do they put all of their stuff?

Time with the family IS my freedom.

41 - no kids, 4 doors primarily for 2 reasons:

1. Surfboard/kiting equipment easier to throw in a 4 door
2. Camping - I like to just pull up and sleep inside (deepsleep)

If I could pull of a 2 door I would. I go 6 months hard top, 6 months no top/bikini top, keep it stored in the garage, so........I could conceivably go with roof racks and pull it off.

I'd absolutely rock/wheel a Flex if it could have 37s, a removable top, and sturdy front and rear bumpers that improved the approach and departure angles.... Hmm, sounds like my four door Bronco....

So the only thing anyone really seems to care about is the name "Bronco" and Heritage.. well, that went out the window back at the "Full Size" 1978s...

Every complaint after the B pillar became a hoop behind the driver with attachment to the windshield is an invalid arguement, and just beating a dead horse. The "Bronco" is whatever Ford says it is.

To me the 2 door just looks stubby. Like a Rav4 on steroids

I'm used to multiday motorcycle travel and camping with limited storage space (I've done 30 straight days). I'll have plenty of room in the two door. And I'll get a roof rack :).

So I’m kind of curious, I’ve been reading this forum for, I don’t know, two or three months, and I’m really surprised there isn’t more 2-Door purchasers.
so I’m just wondering what AGE is of most people buying a
2 door and a 4 -door,
because I think it’s a generational thing now.

When I was a kid you were your father or grandfather if you were driving a four-door. same with my dad! Of course I grew up in a HotRod Family (30’-50’s Cars)
So I was always told that 2 doors is what you want.

Maybe I was brainwashed, or a product of my time, but I always thought the 2 Doors look way better than 4 doors
(as far as proportions and everything)
and all those extra posts and windows!
Especially the vehicle like a Bronco because of the short wheelbase. You have to jack up a four-door way higher in order to have the same clearance.

biggest thing for me is I have the mindset of

2-door Means Freedom
4-Door means Baggage

Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad that young folks nowadays wanna include their family on a lot of stuff, but I still think Guys need to have their OWN freedom sometimes, and “Girls”Too I guess!!!

So mostly this is just out of curiosity

I’m 52 and I love2doors
What did tou order and how old are you?
Thanks Rick
To me, the 2-door look more like the original Bronco, which I loved. So its a old school 2-door for me.

65 in a month, kids gone, just the wife and me. A no brained as I already have a 2dr Jeep XJ Cherokee. Love it but it’s a PIA getting in and out from the back seat. The 4dr offers way more storage and convenience, especially if we have the kids or guests in town. I also like the ride of the longer wheelbase….and I’ll never do rock crawling where a short WB would be desirable. Pick the right tool for your mission.

48 - married, 4 kids but only 1 under 19. We originally ordered a 2 door and then test drove one before ours was produced. With the kid, 3 dogs, and we all race BMX, the 2 door was not going to cut it for the room we needed. We got our 4 door in 2 weeks ago and absolutely love it. Ended up getting a 6x12 enclosed for all of the bikes anyway.

52 y/o, have a 20y and 17y kids. ordered a 2 door, mainly because i think they subjectively look better. I rarely have anyone in my backseat, any family drives are done in the wifes car, she has a big suv. If we ever do have to take mine on a trip or camping w/ the whole family, have a hitch mount rack i can use for luggae and whatnot

went with 4-dr because even though my need for full-family drives is dwindling (1 graduated & moved to VA, 1 just graduated and still at home but not always around) i felt the difference in the back seat was worth it for general comfort at reasonable increase in MSRP

50 when I ordered, hopefully 52 when it gets delivered. Married, no kids but two dogs, I got a 2-door because it reminded me of the Broncos from the early 70's that I dreamt about.

41, married w/ one 13yr old. I bought a 2Dr because I the the aesthetic over the 4dr. Will use it occasional off-roading and camping. Our F150 is our main family ride.
