I like the idea of reservations being built in the order received prior to dealer stock. That might mean we will be given a set time limit to work with our dealers to convert the reservation to an order with deposit. Realize if that process holds true, we could end up ordering our vehicles without seeing, sitting in or test driving an actual Bronco. Fascinating! I could live with that!Ford has said unequivocally that reservations will be built before dealer stock units, roughly in the order in which the reservations were received.
Yeah, how many minutes of their daily operations will that cover? Just did the math. About 21 minutes. If this is true Ford just got a 6 million dollar interest free loan.
Ford specifically stated that all reservation vehicles will be built before dealer stock vehicles.Great question. I imagine they're going to build both reservations and dealer vehicles synchronously.
I understand. I'm just reporting what I've seen that seems to have credibility ?‍I work for ford, I know many things, I can see many things.
no one is sharing the reservation counts.
I see no reason that a factory worker would need to be brought in on that secret. They could know the annual capacity for the plant, thats something in the scope of their job depending what they do... but reservations? nope, they just build the orders as they get sequence, no ones telling them how many reservations are up front.
Any idea what annual production in numbers for Wayne MI?wayne michigan, but it shares the plant with Ranger.
Based on what my dealer said they reserved some too. so i think they will be built side by side and they have 28 reserved.Great question. I imagine they're going to build both reservations and dealer vehicles synchronously.
With interest, to cover the inconvenience and hardshipIf I'm nice, I'll rent my new Bronco to the dealer to put in his showroom for a month or so to bring in traffic to his dealership.
I was told the dealer will get two Broncos to use as courtesy vehicles long before they get any for retail. Sound odd?The real question is what will they do with all those reservations. Build them first? Build them in some ratio of dealer deliveries? If they do build all reservations first, when will dealers actually have one on the lot? A year down the road? Has a manufacturer ever delivered non limited supply vehicles in this manner before? Will certainly change dealer dynamics if the first year or more only go to reservations.
