Maybe we can get a MIC gray hood to match the MIC gray hardtop?

I think every car produced over the past 30 years has at least an aluminum hood. Not a big deal for me.
Nope. Not last thirty years. Only 71% will be by 2023.

My 98 Ranger has an aluminum hood. Been in hail many times and no dents.

I can't say on Bronco, since we don't know yet. However, I can speak to F-150. We had Light hail in 2017, the aluminum handled it much better than the steel did. Used Silverados took it the worst (think they must have the thinnest sheetmetal of vehicle), other steel vehicles(including older F150's) had larger dents than aluminum F-150's. Super Duty was the most impressive, they didn't dent except for the hood (hood was like F-150 damage, rest of body must be much thicker)

That said, paintless dent repairs are more expensive on the aluminum as it takes more time to pop the dents out.

So anybody with experience taking a wallop on their aluminum F 150 hood?
Yup. My son dropped a bottle of sunscreen from a second floor deck and the screw on cap landed on my hood. Cap survived, hood slight dent as the cap hit on an angle. But strangle enough, no damage at all from the 1 or 2 hail storms it was exposed 2 in the last 4 years
