Placed my order for a:
  • 4 door
  • Black Diamond
  • 2.3L/Auto
  • Adv 4x4
  • Mid
  • MIC w/ headliner + roof rails
  • Cyber orange
Dealer told me they've had over 150 reservations and I'm one of maybe two who has no late availability options on my order? Is everyone here getting high trim, lux package, 2.7L, sasquatches?

I guess it's cause by the time you get to your build financially, you're pretty much also at a Badlands or wildtrack price, and then you're only a few grand away from the higher packages, and I think Ford gets a lot of people in the upper trims this way. Just a thought

Nice build. Really practical choices.

If I could get a BD mid with manual - particularly Mansquatch - it would give BL a run for the money.

I would bet on many 2.7LuxSquatches - Just look at the posted stats. Two doors are limited too.

It's such a slippery slope. First it started with a budget of $40,000. Let's just go base and get good value! Wife needs heated seats, so now we're looking at BB. If we're bumping up to BB for heated seats I'd like to jump up to BD. If we moved to BD, we should probably take advantage and get the Adv 4x4. Suddenly we're at $46,000 and I for sure needed to talk myself out of bumping up to the Badlands which for the same hard top/mid options gets up to $51,000. But let's be honest if you get the Badlands you should just up it to the High package. Soon I'm driving a $60,000 lux squatch wondering how I got here from the hard top base trim.

No, you didn't get the model that is, by definition, "basic."

Yup- 4 cylinder, 4 door, non Sasquatch seems to be not as much demand. 2 door Sasquatch and V6 seems to be the most popular.

I’ve done the same thing with my builds
I was certain with my 45-48k budget I would get the BD, but then build and price and photos and being dumb like a kid who wants what he wants my build changed over to the WT with the high package And I’m pretty much at the 51k Mark...

I think what you are doing is being smart and practical, it can be boring doing that sometimes but in the long run most likely the better decision...
