Arizona and recently Colorado, not New Mexico.
Btw I picked a lighter color based on region (SW) as well as ability not to show trail stripes as easily and ease of repair. Cactus Grey for me.

All the color selections now are based on individual preference. Once dealers can start ordering dealer stock, I wonder if they will follow what customers are choosing? My bet is that dealers will order the safe colors, and we'll see the percentages go up in black, silver, and white.

Also seems to prove my longstanding theory that many in the country see the “West” as anything left of the Mississippi

I represented the Great Plains, Northwest, Southwest, and the West. Look in the spreadsheet - I swear! I know how sensitive folks can be about their home state and references!

CO is not "Great Plains" (although technically the eastern third of the state is plains). That is NE, KS, SD, ND, etc. But the beauty of the spreadsheet is you can reclassify it however you want and create your own stats.

Apparently it was a popular color at this particular dealer.

Recently? 10 years ago. And If New Mexico had any decent big time programs they would have ended up in the Pac12, just like Utah, Washington and Oregon.

Sooo, either the midwest has a very even distribution across many colors and the northeast is only buying Iconic Silver, or the numbers are skewed by the larger number of orders in the midwest. ...or I am wrong.

Where I live, West is anywhere on the Jersey side of the Hudson. Certainly anything past the Delaware River.

In Boston it might as well be west of Worcester. (West a’ Woostah, says your cousin from Boston)

I am always amazed how many of us Arizonans have black cars. Three of the 9 cars on our property are black.
