Little bit of an update. They ended up ordering turbos for mine. Those showed up today. Hopefully, it'll be done by Thursday afternoon.

How are you feeling now with a new motor? Does it sound or feel any different?

Runs a little different, I always felt the last one had a super sensitive throttle. This motor feels more restrained, in a good way. This engine is also older than the original motor.

I would be curious if they changed the tuning on the replacement motors or is it just a little different feeling a working motor instead of a blown one>?

Has anyone heard what the actual problem is here? The 2.7 isn't new and has a pretty solid service record in the F-150s. I have a 2.3 coming in mine, but trying to figure out the variable that's triggering this. I know they've had persistent cam phaser issues in the Raptor (I was 0 for 2 on the Gen 2) but that didn't result in a catastrophic failure (unless Malloy Ford in Winchester, VA tried to fix it, but that's a story for another time)
