At this point, I'm starting to think Bronco has been 100% a "B Team" effort at Ford.

I'm guessing the A-team has long since been reassigned to EVs.
I don't think so. Seems like good hard working people at MAP, many of whom have been doing this a long time.
It's a 1st year vehicle full stop

yeah....but they just opened the crate & bolted in the motor - not likely the root cause here

at least no accident - hope everyone okay - what an ordeal though

in the other thread opening post check-out the repair threads** to see other people's repair experiences - lots of good advice

here in B6g tracking efforts it would be helpful to know the engine build-date
see photos - maybe the service dept can take a look & provide it to you

Thanks for sharing. Based on the data in that thread, is this only affecting engines built between June and August?

Son of a b****. @Ford Motor Company needs to address this before someone gets seriously injured.

I’m sitting in a restaurant right now with my wife and two kids nervous about driving my 2.7L bronco with 1500 miles home.
No cause for injury concerns. They don’t lock up or explode.

Edit:………..yet.

This is important..............need to know build date. That "window' should be more of a "Well, it finally happened." vs. a "I can't believe this happened!" I am not defending Ford as I think it is BS that a new vehicle, with a proven 2.7 Eng platform is having stupid issues like this, but it has been well documented that the build period is a mine field. the only way to not have an issue, don't walk/drive through it. Point of clarification: I own a 2021 2.7............just waiting for the bomb to go off. day 306 so I am optimistic but won't be super surprised.

People keep saying it’s essentially the same motor as in the F150. If that’s so then it’s not first year. But there’s no info on 150’s blowing motors.

Oh, like this works. Best way is to put a link to the blown engine thread, into the delivery threads that Ford actually bothers to comment in... :)
The last time I did it, it worked. 😜

Research the valve supplier issue............it will make sense then..........not acceptable, but you will have context.

I have. I keep seeing the fanboys using the 150 motor being the same and no issues defense. However, as the motors keep piling up, they’ve gone a little quiet. I actually was not very concerned at first- mine has a mid February build date-but I’m actually getting concerned now!
