Hi All,

Frank here. I've been a silent reader of Bronco6G for quite a while. Finally joined. This is a great community.

I'm a resident of NJ currently living in TX. Always been a big fan of the 1st gen Bronco. Owned my share of Ford vehicles but nothing like this.

Owned a 1997 Defender 90 for many years but sold it (in hindsight that was a bad idea). Looking for a replacement off-roader. Checked out the new Defender 90 but it didn't do it for me...Bronco generates far more enthusiasm/excitement.

Want a winter delivery for my new Bronco so looking to be in the pack but not in front. Reserved 7/16, ordered after 3/31 because I didn't want to be in the first 3 months (in hindsight that was a bad idea). 2DR 2.7 Cyber BL SAS High Tow

Looking forward to joining the community!

Congrats and welcome. Bit of turmoil lately, but stay strong but lighthearted and you’ll be just fine.

Welcome to the cool kids club! I remember test driving a new D90 in about 1996. At the time, I thought “dam, $30k is a lot of money for a chunky British truck with a soft top!” I bought a 4Runner instead. I always loved how tall and tough the D90s looked.

Ha. Have you looked at the resale value of the D90 you passed up? Crazy. Agree on the "tall". I took out one of my garage doors the first time I pulled in. Garage door handle caught the D90's rear bar and tore the garage door off. Was always aware of height restrictions after that.

BTW - Bronco with Sas is approaching the D90 height, which was approx 81", so be careful the first time you enter your garage :)

I'm going to be frank and say welcome to the forum. If you don't like pineapple pizza and chair throwing, you can leave now. 🤙

LOL! What a coincidence... I did the same thing. I tried to get a D90 before I had to head out for a 6 month deployment, but ended up acquiring a 4Runner SR5.

... and to the OP, welcome aboard.

Just be prepared for some good-natured sarcasm from time to time.

Welcome to the Fam, Frankk.
Good to see an articulate and positive 1st post.
This has all the right feels.
Good group of people, mostly.
Lots of good knowledge and a fair amount of conjecture and speculation thrown in when we just don't know and want to seem like we do.
