Haha I know, just what we need on this forum. But I wanted to share an idea that I think some might find helpful.

I was able to fabricate a really good mud flap mounting option using a home-made bracket attached to the crash bars, and then used that to mount a good quality mud flap that you can find on Amazon for only $25. (Here is a link to Amazon: https://amzn.to/3M9WMpe)

Thank you to forum member @Tanman who first posted use of this flap design and got me thinking about it, and then more recently the posts about the Rokblokz flaps that use a mounting bracket. I kinda put those two ideas together and came up with this design.

Here is a picture from the inside of the wheel well, showing my bracket mounted to the crash bar:

And here is what they look mounted from the rear of the truck:

WARNING!! YouTube video ahead. Stop here if you do not want to watch! 😂

If you are interested in seeing the whole fabrication and mounting process, here is a video:

Cool....I am not planning to do the back but I imagine you could do something similar if you wanted to.

Nice post!

Those are the Plasticolor flaps . . . great quality, very durable . . . the only fiberglass reinforced flaps on the market. They are officially licensed by Ford for the logo. This company has been around for more than 50 years and they also make OEM flaps for the heavy duty truck market, so it's a company and product you can trust.

I still can't figure out how the version with the Ford logo costs LESS than the generic one! They must have a sweet licensing deal

Nice work! Hopefully someone will see this video from now to when my WT shows up in 2023 sometime and starts manufacturing them! I'm thinking $79.99 for a front pair.....

WOW...great, simple design/solution....I can't believe more companies have not used the crash bar as a mounting point....I just want something simple to stop rocks....nothing too heavy-duty, for road-use only! You should manufacture them!! Or if there's a mounting bracket that can be bought off the shelf...I would buy it!!
