Posting my platform build for anyone needing inspiration. So far it’s working great. Dog friendly.

I lined the side cubbies with a hard plastic protector so I can throw tools into it without it scratching the Bronco’s interior.

Each split section can be removed or stacked for access to seats. Fits like a glove.

Next steps: I’m planning to extend the platform to a full length sleeper platform. To do this I have to remove the rear seat cushions and build extensions for when the front seats are pushed forward. Should be around 6ft length wise. I found these awesome hinges on eBay. The extensions will flip up and be removable.

Update: Finished building the sleeper extension. Turned out well. Only annoyance is removing the seat cushion, a minor inconvenience. Otherwise easy install. Slide-off hinges allow for removal. Platform supports itself against the back of the passenger seat.

Great minds think alike. Although, I do not plan to do anything to piss of the wife and get kicked out of the house and need to sleep in my Bronco.

I was going to hinge the front sections to fold back, but the roll bar and speakers got in the way, unless you z fold, which started to make things more complex than it needed. Used an outdoor rug that is very close in color to the BB interior, which really adds light to the cave-like storage area. The "T" support is not attached, so varying positions can accommodate different cargo. The hinged floor allows access to the basement. I am very tempted to just glue sections of the rug to the side walls. This Bronco plastic scuffs just by looking cross at it. Worked great to get the golf clubs and bags in the back for a weekend golf getaway. (Not all Bronco excursions need to be off road).

Nope, non-removable
