Love the colour. Never had a vehicle painted. What price range we talking ?
You don’t really want to do a color change on a brand new rig! 3-5k for a flake paint job still leaves the door jambs, roll bar, under hood, firewall all unpainted. It’s all in the details and that budget likely won’t cover those details. It’ll look like garbage. Just pick Black or grey and wrap it with vinyl for that price. I’m sure they’ve got vinyl with similar color changing properties. Then later you can just peel it.
You had better multiply that number by a factor of 3 for a reputable shop and top quality. If you want it changed cheaply go to MAACO or some other low buck joint.
I feel ya. In the same boat here. Of all the shitty things Ford pulled on its customers, and there have been plenty (jacking up the price on Sasquatch, bumping 2-doors to MY22, etc.) pulling RR and AMB ranks up there at the top as the shittiest. I can't believe I'm going to be shelling out this kind of money for a truck in a color I don't want after a year of being excited for a color I love. I'd hate to be a PR person over there...How do they deal with explaining away all the bad decisions that have been made and/or approved by senior management?
I'd put it in that range also for a simple exterior-only scuff and shoot. Supplies alone could be $2k, paint is expensive!
