I'm an 70s-80s teenager and both my 71 and 79 CJ5s had 15" white spoke wagon type wheels with the blue and red pinstripes and 12 X 15 X 32 Ground Hogs. I think those wheels might look "Bomb" on the new Bronco. Ford Bronco any interest in a simple, retro bumper? 1600116210798

I had a set of original firestone 15x10s i bought from a guy who had em stashed in his garage attic for 20 years. Paid 100 for em and never had a leaky bead(bias boggers) again. Beautifully beefed wheels.

I wouldn't mind some retro bumpers. I just don't want plastic.

With a rough surface, ya know like fancy ceiling paint.

I feel like I will be making my own bumpers eventually. just to get away from the Darth Vader look.

I envy people with that type of talent! share it with us unskilled folks when you figure something out!

Oh i will probably late next year lol.

But I do encourage anyone with a garage and the occasional free time, and plenty of soap, to go buy the cheapest welder and angle grinder they can find and try to make something. Even if its just some decorative thing or a minor repair on something broke. Its easy to learn, fun to master, and simpler than it looks. Who knows maybe by the time you tear up your factory bumper years from know you will be able to easily fab a new one up.

are these the kinds of bumpers that a local fabricator could do as a one off ? what would something like that go for?

Resurrecting this old thread - someone posted to this company - ProtoFab. In addition to Affordable Offroad, these two companies are the ones I hope make something simple, slim and classic. I am ignorant when it comes to this stuff, so there may be reasons why a straight simple bumper is not possible - would love to know from someone who knows if there are.

Thanks for resurrecting, OP. I'd be interested in something like this.

I get the reason for all the purpose-built options currently out there but aesthetically, they're all straight out of Mad Max Fury Road. The mod bumper is close but some alternatives would be nice.
