During the shitshow last fall with the Bronco MIC top debacle going on, one of the articles mention that Westabo was setting up another plant to make MIC tops for the Bronco. I haven't seen any updates since then?

Because they can’t keep up with demand the way it is now. The MIC is still a constraint and who knows if they are meeting their requirements that Ford requires. Do you really think that demand is going to disappear once reservations are filled? Why would a company invest millions into a temporary problem to only fire employees once demand slows in a year in a half?
I've been surprised at how little information we've seen on this topic. Hopefully somebody on the forum can provide an update as we know how Ford handles the communication with those of us that pay the bills.During the shitshow last fall with the Bronco MIC top debacle going on, one of the articles mention that Westabo was setting up another plant to make MIC tops for the Bronco. Great question. It has been an eon since we heard from @PREMiERdrum but he would probably know. I just hope Ford didn't bury him with the MIC 1.0 panels.During the shitshow last fall with the Bronco MIC top debacle going on, one of the articles mention that Westabo was setting up another plant to make MIC tops for the Bronco. I don’t get the sense they’re building a greenfield plant. They said it would be operational this quarter.Well they had to build an entire new plant and they said it's going to take a year or two (I'm betting more like two to three).
And yeah, I think Ford got @PREMiERdrum his Bronco as hush payment
Webasto does much more than make Bronco MICs……they’ve been in business for over 100 years and supply multiple brands. Suspect a new plant has more than Bronco capability. Why would a company invest millions into a temporary problem to only fire employees once demand slows in a year in a half?
