None of those have DSP like the key does, but you may not be interested in that anyway.

Jbl dsp 4086 may be comparableā€¦ but I canā€™t say for sure because I donā€™t own either of them. And crutchfield says itā€™s in stock.

Are you only powering the 4 speakers or will you be getting a sub as well?

Hiya @OBXSquatch21 !

Just the 6 standard speakers. I've upgraded the dash & rears, but know that the only way to power the 6.5" speakers (replacements) is with an amp.

Ok cool, it depends what speakers you went with. You just need to match up the power ratings. What speakers did you put in?

Personally I would go with the JBL Club amp. I am running a 5-channel JBL Club in my Tundra and I am very happy with it. If you put some work in to the setup, you will probably out perform the Kicker Key with that amp. You could also consider adding a multi channel LOC from Audio Control or a stand alone DSP if you want to get more adjustment and optimization. Or, as another poster said, get an amp with DSP. But then you start to go up in price pretty fast.

Thanks for your help here!

I put Infinity Reference REF-4032CFX 4" (75W) in the dash speakers and Kicker 4" DS (30W?) speakers in the rear pods. Haven't picked out any 6.5" speakers as of yet.

This would be my choice. There are refurbished units on Amazon for $250, which is pretty darn compelling for 8 channels of amplification and DSP. I have no idea how reliable they are but it seems like an option at least worthy of consideration.

Hey Folks,

Title should say it all, but looking for a decent amp that's not the very hard to find Kicker Key 200.4. Any thoughts on any of the three below?

https://www.crutchfield.com/p_158XMS400D/Sony-XMS400D.html?tp=72998

https://www.crutchfield.com/p_109CL754A/JBL-Club-A754.html

Thanks!
Best Buy currently has them in stock!

I'm far from an expert, But from all the other threads, the DSP is needed because of how Ford screwed up the rear pods. It's the only way to get a full signal to the rear.

Now if a person has the B&O, I think you may not have the DSP issue.

DSP won't change the full range to the rear. You need Forscan or a dealer to flash the system to do that.

Like I said, I really don't know anything about this kind of stuff, but I thought that's what the DSP was for... Too manipulate the signals and "fix" them.

Because if it doesn't do that, then why even need it? Just stick a regular 50 watt x 4 amp in there and save the extra $
