i know it's pretty off-topic for this type of vehicle,
but are there any parking sensors/aids in any of the 'packages'
other than the rear view camera (upgradable to one with swinging direction lines)?

trying to figure out where they would be since the modular front bumper is modular
and i haven't seen any photos of the tell-tale round spots for the ultrasonic sensors
anywhere.

Unless they've fixed it the ford parking sensors are annoying as heck

Front and rear sensors are both constantly active, so if you're backing out of a spot the front sensors will detect the cars next to you and beep

If a pedestrian walks too close to your bumper, the car will beep
If a car pulls up too close behind you, it'll beep

There's a slight tone difference between the front and rear sensors but it's not a good system.

The system should not have sensors active in the direction you aren't driving..... If you're in drive the back ones shouldn't beep. If you're in reverse the front shouldn't beep

That damn ford was a beep machine

Jeeze that would be awful to deal with on a tight trail if it just constantly goes off, but it would be nice to know if I'm about to nail something that for some reason I can't make out on the cameras...which would mean I have blood in my eyes and something is really wrong.

The Mid package shows front sensors and reverse sensing system.

Wouldn't the 360 degree camera help with parking?

I kinda doubt that outer position on the front modular bumper is a sensor, since that portion of the bumper is designed to be easily removed.

I don't think we have any official confirmation on things like sensor and camera positions. It's all guesswork so far.

I rented an Expedition last year and liked the parking sensor setup on that - great for a large vehicle dealing with narrow California parking spaces. Hopefully the Bronco's will be similar.

But yeah, I can definitely imagine wanting to disable it on trails.

That part of the bumper is not removable, it's a single solid piece, the lower is the removable portion. The sensors on the MFB have only been shown in renderings, and none of the test mules have them.

Lol, the idea is so you don't hit the front corner on something while you're backing out/looking backward.

There's a button to turn them off if you don't like them.

Nah

It's just ford being cheap and not programming the sensors correctly

You don't need to worry about hitting things in the opposite direction you are traveling

My car only has rear sensors and they are not active when I'm not in reverse. Much better system.

There's no reasonable explanation for sensors warning me that a pedestrian is walking behind my car when I'm in drive, or warning me that someone decided to tailgate me too closely
