explanation was that it was for people who didnt want fragile glass in the back if they wanted to haul stuff that could potentially roll around.

I think it also opens up some personalization/customization options. Big sticker panel you can switch out for another sticker panel depending on the day/mood.

And if you get really extreme. You could probably figure out some sort of m-lok style mounting system for the exterior of the vehicle for stuff like rotopacks

I like it! No more dog nose smuges :)

Also keeps anything back there out of prying eyes.

I'm sure the aftermarket will have all sorts of accessories that fit that location.
ya thats what i was thinking. Its just another place where you can mount stuff to the side of the car. Inside and outside

Yup. Options are good. I'd love the option to put in a window or a panel, depending on what I'm doing.

I'd be in at the same price or less as the modular top.

I like it, I want the modular hard top anyways, as long as I can get the solid panels as an additional option.

Yes, I'm thinking it will be great for mounting fishing gear off the floor. I couldn't care less about having glass back there.

I can see it being useful for specific things but would not use them otherwise. I like the windows, especially if I get the Wildtrak with the black painted modular top.

I suspect it could be an accessory in no time though.

By the way, this would actually make a good poll...

I thought the gray MIC top was not modular and the windows couldn't come out? And the modular top was painted black? Now the windows come out if the gray top?
