Nah live life baby. I love custom mods
Round flush taillights on back of a CJ and that sort of thing I'm down. But personally I would not cut into the Bronco hardtop due to it's double wall composite nature, thin outer wall, and possibly letting water or whatever inside or getting delamination of the layers. Unless maybe there is a single wall area you could use?

Not technically "flush" mounted - but close....

(similar to the spoiler lights posted above, these are separate pods left and right rather than a continuous spoiler across the whole back edge. I prefer that they are a matte finish closely matching the MIC top finish as apposed to the polished "shiny" look of the spoiler. Plus the turn signal animation is a nice touch)
Those look cool. Where did you find them?

I cut the bumper for flush mounted lights a couple years ago, they work great and I would do the exact same thing again. The angle of the bumper where they are is about ideal as far as being below horizontal and also angled out to the sides. I have them wired to the hitch plug so the red backlighting works with running lights and the flood comes on in reverse or with the zone lighting in the truck. I didn’t bother with an additional switch like I have on other vehicles in the past. I think the angle would be wrong on the top and not much light would reach the ground. I would do something in the spare tire before I cut the top.

I just added a similar set of lights under the bumper on my new F-150. I couldn’t flush mounted lights because it’s a lease.

No, I think he wants to blind any drivers tailgating.

Got them off Amazon last year. I just looked and they are currently unavailable. So not sure if I got the last ones or if they plan on bringing another batch of them in sometime in the future.

This is the most concealed setup I've seen from AGS Offroad. It's designed for chase lights, but reverse lights would work too.

Thanks for that. I've never been happy with the current available solutions and planned on fabricating something to go inside the wheel for a pair of lights such that I could finally eliminate the factory third brake light. That kit from AGS looks like something I can make work for me. Ordered.

This AGS looks like a cool setup - but in NY (I lived upstate also for a while) don’t you need a rear plate lamp too? Hate to have a Trooper bust my chops over this, but it’s the kind of thing they used to do.

You do need a plate lamp in NY. The AGS setup doesn't impact that light. Funny you should mention that though. I ordered the LOD Destroyer bumper and tire carrier along with a license plate relocation bracket. There are a few aftermarket light solutions but none of them stand out to me. I ordered some lights that I thought might work from Amazon and they were defective right out of the box.

I talked to my favorite Ford parts guru today and inquired about the factory light that fits into the bumper. I'd like to use it simply because it works and I can't say the same for the bulk of the garbage I see from the aftermarket. I want to integrate the factory light into the end of the tire carrier tube.

Instead of using the one I have in my original bumper I ordered another housing and pigtail from Ford.

I plan on popping the plastic cover off the end of the tube and fabbing up a plate that fits into the end or I'll use the face of the tube near the end and fit the light there while running an extended harness inside the tubing.

So when the carrier is shut the light will illuminate the plate.

That's the idea anyway. LOD hardware won't be here for a few weeks.

So I decided against the flush mount light all together. I could find a spot that was clean enough for my liking. I’m gonna use it in the SxS or ATV for a reverse/camp light.

Im gonna use a reg pod light and figure a better more concealed location, still in a flood pattern.
